Tree Felling in Panamá Oeste
We work in all five districts of Panamá Oeste: Arraiján, La Chorrera, Capira, Chame and San Carlos. We handle the permit with the province's MiAmbiente Regional Office and coordinate with Naturgy if there are power lines. One permit process for the whole province
Panamá Oeste has its own MiAmbiente Regional Office, and that is where felling or pruning of individual trees is authorized in any of its districts. For most owners one filing is enough: a letter with the location, photos of the tree, proof of ownership and a copy of the ID card. If the felling is for construction, a B/. 50 inspection is added.
What changes from one district to another is the terrain. Arraiján and La Chorrera are mostly residential developments with trees close to the houses. Capira has farms with living fences, and Chame and San Carlos have beach houses with palms and almond trees exposed to the sea wind. Near the coast there are also mangroves with special protection.
- Requirements: letter to the regional office, photos, proof of ownership and ID (Res. DM-0055-2020).
- Free permit if the tree is a hazard, diseased or damaging a structure; B/. 50 if it is for construction.
- Our base is in Capira, inside the same province, so travel is short.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the felling permit filed in Panamá Oeste?
At MiAmbiente's Panamá Oeste Regional Office. You need a letter with the location, photos of the tree, proof of ownership and a copy of your ID card. We prepare it.
Do you serve beach houses in Chame and San Carlos?
Yes. On the coast, palms and trees exposed to the sea wind drop limbs and heavy fronds onto roofs and pools. Near mangroves, we check the restrictions before quoting.
How long does the felling permit take?
MiAmbiente does not publish a maximum time frame; it depends on the regional office's workload and when the inspection is scheduled. A complete file from the start avoids delays.
Which power company serves Panamá Oeste?
Naturgy. If the tree touches the lines, we coordinate with them before cutting.
How much does it cost to fell a tree in Panamá Oeste?
