Felling to build or for safety: two different permits
The permit depends on the reason for felling. If the tree is a hazard, diseased or already damaging the house, the MiAmbiente permit is free. If you are removing it to build or extend, the inspection costs B/. 50, and it is best to file it before applying for the building permit. That way the construction does not stall halfway.
On La Chorrera's larger properties there are also trees near streams and springs. The law protects a 100 m strip along rivers and streams and 200 m around springs (Law 1 of 1994, art. 23). We check this before quoting. If there are power lines, we coordinate with Naturgy.
