Tree Felling in Panama City
In the capital, almost every tree that needs removing is right up against something: the house, the neighbor, the sidewalk or the power lines. We take it down in sections on ropes, without a crane when there is no room for one. We handle the MiAmbiente and municipal permits. The base price is $200 to $800 per tree, transport not included.

Felling in the city: little room and two permits
On an urban lot there is nowhere to drop a whole tree. The technique is sectional felling: a climber cuts the crown piece by piece, and each piece is lowered on a rope. The trunk comes down top to bottom, without hitting roofs, fences or cars.
In the District of Panama, on top of MiAmbiente's permit, the municipality requires its own permit to prune, fell or transplant on urban land (Agreement No. 91), and it may charge a fee based on its rate table. If the tree is on the sidewalk or public strip, that permit is key. Depending on the district, the power distributor is ENSA or Naturgy. If there are cables, we coordinate with the right one.
- Sectional felling technique for tight lots and trees between two houses.
- Two permits: MiAmbiente (free for hazards or disease) plus the municipal permit.
- Daytime work, with signage if we occupy the sidewalk.
Verifiable facts
“A poorly cut tree can cost more than the service itself. That is why we do controlled felling, with the permit in order and protecting the property. We publish this because that is how we work.”

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a municipal permit to fell a tree in Panama City?
Yes. On urban land in the District of Panama, the municipality requires its own permit to prune, fell or transplant (Agreement No. 91), in addition to MiAmbiente's. We handle both.
The tree is on the sidewalk in front of my house. Can I cut it?
Not on your own. A tree on the sidewalk or public strip also needs a permit, and cutting it without authorization leaves you liable. We assess the case and file the paperwork.
How do you fell a tree between two houses without damaging anything?
We take it down in sections: the crown is cut into pieces that are lowered on ropes, then the trunk in segments. That way it never has to be dropped whole.
What if the tree touches the power lines?
It is not cut until we coordinate with the area's distributor, ENSA or Naturgy depending on the district. It is the most dangerous part of the job and is never improvised.
How much does it cost to fell a tree in Panama City?
The base price is $200 per tree with a building nearby and $800 for a large tree taken down in sections. Transport and the municipal fee are not included. The quote is free.
